Church extensively damaged following bombing. According to the Chief Constables listing of the air raids on Liverpool it was the 28th and 29th of August 1940 when the raid took place which damaged the church between 23.50 p.m and 4.20 a.m (See photos)
Church rehallowed by Dr Clifford Martin, Lord Bishop of Liverpool, following completion of the restoration works including new east and west windows.
New Vicarge built. Old vicarage sold to the Parochical Church council. Half of the money raised sent to Tanzania to help build the Kilitiminde Bible School. Old vicarage renamed Kilitiminde House in a dedication by Bishop Mdinda of Central Tanganyika.
125th anniversary. The church adopted the Vision to move forward into the new century.
