Kilimatinde House and Mosslake Lodge
Twelve months ago a Management Group was set up by the Parochial Church Council to make recommendations about the future of Kilimatinde House & Mosslake Lodge. After taking professional advice and struggling through the many possible options the Group reported to the PCC who agreed unanimously that both buildings should be sold. Following this, a presentation was given to the congregation on Sunday July 12th.
The Management Group was then charged with negotiating the sale and is working with the Chartered Surveyors Honeybourne and Kenny.
At the same time the PCC agreed to establish a Project Group whose purpose is to regenerate our buildings into a facility which meets the vision of our church and to serve and engage with the local community.
We appreciate that, whilst plans are being prepared, the accommodation currently provided by Kilimatinde House will be unavailable for our use once a sale is agreed.
This will mean that there will be an interim period during which temporary arrangements will have to be made to accommodate those who currently use Kilimatinde House. We appreciate that this may cause some disruption but both groups will be working hard to sort out alternative arrangements. As things develop and the details become clearer more communication will follow. The Groups will also arrange to meet with those who will be directly affected by the plans.
The future promises to be very exciting, developing our vision of:-
‘Empowering, equipping and enabling people for whole life discipleship’.
Please hold both the Management and future Vision Project Groups in your love and prayers as we move forward at this important stage of our ministry here at Mossley Hill.
God bless you
