Votive Candle Stand

Members of the Goodacre family were delighted to be present at the occasion of the dedication of the Burning Bush Candle Stand on October 6th. It was very appropriate and fitting that David Goodacre, Canon of Newcastle Cathedral, blessed and dedicated the stand in memory of his father; he lit the first candle in prayer for his sister, Margaret who is seriously ill in her nursing home.

I would like to thank members of the congregation and friends who came to the service on October 6th and to the congregation generally for giving the Burning Bush such a warm welcome. I hope that together we will learn how to use the stand in our services and, more privately, to enrich our prayer life..
