GLORY IN THE HIGH ST 2!

What Child is This?

The three churches of the Mossley Hill Team are also all part of Churches Together in Mossley Hill.
In 1996 the ten churches in the area signed a covenant to form Churches Together in Mossley Hill. This heralded a significant expansion of the work previously undertaken by the Nine Churches of Mossley Hill. The group now includes 3 Anglican, 2 Roman Catholic, 1 Methodist, 1 Baptist, 1 United Reformed, 1 Welsh Presbyterian and 1 Independent Community Church.
The focus of Churches Together in Mossley Hill has been mission within our community,  ministry exchange and occasional joint worship.

As South Liverpool shoppers were  gripped in a bleak mid winter, the decision was taken to relocate Glory in the High Street from the cold and slippery  Library Car Park, to  All Hallows Church.

I stood with the stewards at the Library,  redirecting both pedestrians and cars up to the Church as they asked whether the Nativity or Carol Service was still on.

In the warm of the church the results of the months preparations and rehearsal bore fruit.   Different Churches provide the characters for the various tableau, including the able Shepherds from Mossley Hill.

The Angel Haka certainly added a new dimension to our appreciation of Angels.  This year’s script by Rev Wayne Clarke, especially written for the occasion brought the characters of the nativity  to life, earthing their experiences in the questions and testimonies of people today.
